Bye, bye, August. Despite August being my favorite month of the year I look forward to the end as we usher in fall. Cooler weather means sweater weather is coming! The only reason I like the cold is because I knit to keep myself warm.
So let’s take a look at what I was able to accomplish this month:
- A tiered coat for Maddie – no post yet since I finished it on the 31st!
- An adorable dress on sport weight yarn for an adorable baby girl.
- A birthday sweater for Jess.
- A super cute gender neutral pullover for my coworkers baby on the way.
- Wee Sherlock for a wee little newborn coming in a few weeks.
- And a dog sweater to coordinate with the Wee Sherlock.
- My 2-Color Dropped Sleeve sweater.
I surprised myself with all of my August FO’s but really the baby things are quick knits. Still a lot has been flying off my needles and I’m super excited to work on more sweaters as the temperatures get cooler. I’ve got so many awesome patterns in my queue and so many things I want to cast on I don’t know what to do next! Monday is a holiday so I’m going to enjoy that day off and I’ll be back here on Wednesday. But in the meantime, tell me what you finished last month!
TOTALLY awesome! I love it! I didn’t even know you were working on a tiered coat for Maddie?! Wow! You REALLY slipped that one in š These look great!
I showed you the little red jacket the other day! It was a project I hadn’t talked about on the blog but was working on it to get through a bunch of little kid stuff.
I am so envious of how you knit many garments! I hope to get in more this year.
I’m trying to get things for little people finished so I’m not rushing when it’s colder. Children’s clothes are the fastest and most fulfilling knits.
You are so inspiring! When I see “Yards of Happiness” in my Inbox, I’m excited. Love all of your stuff. I did manage to complete two lace cardigans this month. My IG feed is https://www.instagram.com/cestjeannieici/
I’m now off to Paris for the fall season—I’ll let you know what inspires me over there!
Oh wow! Paris?! I’m jealous but you will surely come back inspired.
You are an inspiration! Yesterday I ordered a set of knitting needles and a book about knitting for beginners, and all of that because of your blog! Time to extend my crafting skills a bit and learn something new except crocheting š Thank you!
I highly recommend YouTube videos! I’m a big visual learner. Very Pink Knits is one of my favorites!
Bookmarked, thanks š I will need all the resources I can find. So excited about trying something new!
