The other week I shared the hoodie I made for my husband. He is definitely knit worthy and is such a good sport when I make matching dog sweaters and we take family pics. Honestly, he’s the best. So I knew when I finished his Montrealer hoodie, Kiwi was going to need a coordinating hoodie to match because why not?!
I used the Otis pattern from my favorite book of dog knits and all the same Berroco Vintage yarn I had as leftovers. I did a similar striping pattern as on Kendell’s hoodie. Instead of making it an exact replica, I switched up the colors so she would stand out a bit more when he was holding her.
I decided to make her pocket a solid color since it’s already just so small. LOL No need to make even more work with making stripes. I knit this one over a weekend while he was traveling and was waiting for another cold day to take pics of them together. When I got up the other morning, he had on his sweater and I knew I had to snap a few pics.
Kiwi is Kendell’s puppy in every way. She follows him around, listens to him and runs to get in his lap or get him to play. I didn’t know if he would ever fall in love with a dog as much as he used to love our dog Cher but it has been so sweet to see him fall in love with this little four pound dog. They are the best of buddies and I can’t wait to knit them more things over the years.

Lots to love here, but my favorite thing is the way Kiwi’s sweater has the contrast colors from Kendell’s sweater as the main colors. It makes her stand out when he’s holding her or when she’s sleeping on him. So cute.
I can’t stop “squee-ing” over the little hood & kangaroo pocket on Kiwi’s version! It’s so freaking adorable & your two loves look smashing in their matched set.
They are so stinking cute together in those sweaters! Nice knitting.
