I’ve been working on a few things for others, a fourth Love Note sweater to give to my sister and a second Windschief hat for my husband…but I couldn’t resist making another sweater. I decided to mix things up and knit myself a Felix Pullover.

I’ve got a large stash and I want to actually use it. I know I went to Vogue Knitting Live and I did buy yarn, but the bulk of it was…fingering weight! I’m pushing myself out of my comfort zone this year. But I’ve got lots of bulky weight and worsted that I want to use up to make room for other things. I bought this Juniper Moon Farm Stratus yarn when I visited the Webs Yarn shop in September. I bought a sweater’s quantity of the colors River Birch (which I used for Felix) and Cinnabar, a yummy brick red. It’s a chainette yarn (I think that might be my favorite kind) that has yak and alpaca in it and it is so light! And yet it’s still warm, but not overwhelming.
This color is so rich and vivid, it’s a perfect burple – blue and purple. And the Felix pattern works up quickly since it’s on bigger needles.
I tried to get a good picture of the shoulder details but this blue is so hard to photograph! But this is definitely a lovely layer to throw over anything I’m wearing since it is so light. I’m thinking I just might use the other color to make the cardigan version. I desperately need a red cardigan in my life.
Another wonderful sweater, Dana!
😍😍😍 the color!
You made me get the pattern and yarn! Vine valley green for me.
this color looks beautiful on you!!!!! love it
And the red cardigan might look great on top of this purple…love the sweater
I just made one too.
Love this! Great color. Also, cute hair!!
Uh oh. Another thing to add to my queue. Brilliant!
I love it, i got to check that out. Webs is only 1.5 hrs away. BEAUTIFUL sweater😍😍😍😍😍
A beautiful sweater, in a lovely color! The cardigan version is in my queue as well as the pullover. And thank you for including the links to yarn and patterns in your blog. I may have found some new-to-me yarn to try. 😌
PERFECTION!
I love it and it fits beautifully! I buy a lot of fingering weight yarn and now I have way too much. I like fuzzy bulky stuff. Great post!
I have a question about your Love Note. Did you do the short row shaping for the high-low hem? I’m at that point and I’m not sure if I want it or not, so I thought I pick the expert’s brain! 😁
Yes I did it on all three
Thx ☺👍
Stunning on you…the color is amazing!
I absolutely love that purple! It looks great with that necklace, too.
