I know, Christmas is on Tuesday but I figured I wouldn’t post for a few days and wanted to wish those of you who celebrate it a Merry Christmas. AND I wanted to share our holiday photos since our cards have been in the mail and are making it to our friends.
This was the main photo we used this year on a card that says ‘Happy Everything!’ We have friends of all faiths who celebrate so many things that I don’t like to leave anyone out, so I feel like Happy Everything covers it all. LOL. This year I wanted to knit Kendell a vest but it didn’t work out the way I wanted it to so I just let it go, it’s okay for everything to not go as planned. I’m wearing my Rosemont cardigan and I used the Periwinkle Sheep Intent yarn from that cardigan to knit Cher a Sparkle pullover. And I used the Sparkle pattern for Jellybean’s but with the fun variegated yarn from my stash. Here are a few of the other great photos from that same day. And for those who are wondering, I take the photos myself with my DSLR camera on a tripod with a remote control in my kitchen. That’s where the big teal wall is in my house and there’s a big sliding glass door that gives off so much light it’s a great place to take photos.
Kendell was trying to get a picture with both dogs and Jellybean kept running to me so she was a bit of blur in the photos and it made him laugh. His laugher and Cher’s seriousness just cracks me up. This one is definitely getting printed and put on my desk at work.
And Cher always looks like a tiny hostage. LOL But she is super loved, I promise. We know as she gets older her patience with these things is very short so she was only tortured for a few minutes.
2018 had some ups and downs like any year but for the most part it was a good year. I’ve had so many big changes and at the end of this year I’m feeling so much happier and lighter than I ever imagined. I’m looking forward to 2019 and what new things it has to offer. And next week, I’ll do a few of my favorite things I made this year posts just to recap my year of making. Merry Christmas!
