I figured out what project was next after my Rainbow Madigan! I’m keeping in line with my selfish knitting and still knitting for myself right now because I can. LOL I started the Boothbay Cardigan from Home & Away last week. I’m using Ella Rae Classic Superwash in an interesting color called Deluge.
As much as I would love to knit everything in a rainbow I recognize the fact that it’s just not practical (although an all rainbow wardrobe would all coordinate…). This was my attempt at picking a neutral but with some interest. It is kind of grey but then you realize it’s light blue and pink (I think they twist together a turquoise and red to get this unique color). It reminds me of this Urban Decay Eye Shadow color called Lounge that I used to rock non-stop in college.
It was kind of blue, red and silver rolled into one. I should probably dig that shadow out and rock it again when I finish this cardigan. I started it last week and have already separated at the sleeves and am working my way down the body. I like Home and Away because it gives you patterns you can work seamlessly top down or seamed. One day I will knit a seamed sweater but for now top down it is for me! I’d love to finish off the body this week so that I can pick up stitches and start the border but I’ve got some quizzes to grade and a few things to do so we shall see how far I get. I’m just excited because I can feel the chill in the air and I know fall is just around the corner!
Gorgeous colour!
Thanks! I like how unusual it is.
Love the color of that yarn!!!
