I got a fun email on my birthday, the cover of the book I have not one but TWO patterns in that’s coming out next year. Allow me to introduce you to Harry Potter: Knitting Magic!

Remember in the spring when I had two projects I couldn’t share? I still can’t share…yet. What can share is that I have two projects in this awesome book – one of them is on the cover. You might want to look under Hedwig…(hint, hint). Tanis Gray pulled together a book with knitting patterns inspired by the Harry Potter movies and there is everything from blankets to toys to sweaters and more in this over 200 page book. One of the things I’m excited about is the sizing for sweaters goes up to 66 inch bust, which is beyond industry standard. And everything isn’t knit in traditional sample sizes either. I think it’s going to be a good project and I’m excited to get my hands on a copy too. So if you’re a Harry Potter fan, I highly suggest pre-ordering so that you get it as soon as it drops in January.
Oh YES
Congratulations! This book sounds awesome, and what’s even better is that you have 2 designs in it!!! Accio needles!
Congratulations! That is so exciting! I hope you sell a million!
Wow!! Congratulations!! You are a wonder!!
Congratulations. Well deserved!!!!
HUGE Harry Potter fan here – I suspect most of the knits in the book are way above my knitting ability but I’m ordering the book anyway because it’s a combination of the best of both worlds! Big congrats on your patterns; I can’t wait to see them!
I am so dang excited about this! I preordered as soon as I saw it this weekend, and thrilled you have two patterns! I never read any of the HP books, but just started with my 7 year old in the last year, so we are discovering it together. Showed her the cover this weekend and she has already requested a Hedwig and a pixie!
This is so cool and just the beginning of your patterns in print for the world to knit! I’m doing the happy-dance with you and Jellybean!
Tons of congratulations🎈🎉🎊
I love all things Potter! Thanks for sharing.
I have the book from the early 2000’s (Knitting Wizardry), and the Interweave Harry Potter magazine and book, and I’m sure I’ll be getting this too. How fun! 🙂
Congratulations! It looks like a wonderful book! I don’t suppose you designed any sweaters for hippogriffs?
My lips are sealed!
Congratulations! That is so exciting!
Just pre-ordered!! I thought your design on the cover would be the blue sweater with the orange sorting hats & flying Hedwigs because it is such a great DWJ color scheme, but there’s a black & white sweater directly under Hedwig. The design looks cool, but black & white? Do we have to wait until January to find out?
(If it is the black & white one I’m sure it’ll be AWESOME!!). CONGRATULATIONS!!!
It isn’t typical me because I don’t think the Harry Potter franchise is as colorful as I am!
So great! Congratulations, Dana. You are simply amazing.
What fun!
Great to be included in a book with HP links. I love to knit myself, so must keep an eye out for it. As a person who has a 54-inch chest, and I have seen people with bigger, then I know there will be happy HP fans out there
