I told myself after the 4th of July weekend I was going to spend way more hours working than I would knitting. I’ve got some guest lectures to give at the end of the month and a lot of prep work for my classes so I can submit my syllabi by Aug. 2 (earlier for one project). So I need to buckle down and focus…but I really want to knit.
So far I’ve got the front half of my Denis top completed and need to work on the back and I’ve separated for sleeves on my second Love Note sweater. I’ve got to sit down and record a new video (fingers crossed I’ll get to today). I have so many things I want to make and I’m so worried that once I start grad school again in the fall I won’t have time to sneak in knitting. Fingers crossed I still can. But I’m still having a little fun while I can. I’m headed to Brooklyn with my husband for the 4th of July. If you’re in Brooklyn, come by String Thing Studio for their Friday Knit Night, I’ve heard it’s going to fun so I plan on stopping by. I’ve also been golfing with the husband and sneaking in naps with Jellybean while I can.
I’m trying to really recharge this summer so that once August hits, I’m ready to hit the ground running. How’s your summer going?
